My Platform:

This campaign isn’t about more promises from Ottawa it’s about taking power back and putting it where it belongs: with the people.

This campaign and its platform didn’t come from Michael Harris. It came from the over 4,000 people he spoke with across Battle River–Crowfoot. The message was clear: people want less Ottawa, more local control, and real liberty. Michael is running to bring their voice to Parliament.

Michael Harris is running to defend your freedom, unleash the free market, and stand up for Alberta’s right to govern its own future. Every policy we support is rooted in one principle: you should be free to live your life without government interference.

Below, you’ll find the key issues Michael is fighting for: no fluff, no flip-flop no excuses, just clear goals for a freer Alberta.

My Policy's:

Every Citizen is a King

You don’t need a title to have power. Every human being under God is born with the right to live free, to make their own choices, and to control their own future.

Every Citizen of the Earth is a King, not to rule over others, but to rule themselves.

Governments exist to protect that freedom, not to take it. When power flows from the individual, not the state, we build a world rooted in peace, independence, and liberty.

This is the foundation of my movement.

You are not a subject.

You are a sovereign.

Ending Equalization

The equalization program was sold as a way to help provinces in need. Instead, it’s become a tool that punishes Alberta for succeeding and rewards provinces that block our development.

Albertans work hard, pay more, and contribute billions only to watch other provinces benefit while attacking our energy sector and pushing policies that hurt our economy. This isn’t fairness. It’s redistribution at gunpoint.

Equalization isn’t about helping. It’s about control.

Michael Harris believes Albertans should keep what they earn and decide how it’s spent. No more sending our money to governments that don’t respect our industries, our workers, or our way of life.

Ending equalization is about restoring respect, protecting Alberta’s future, and rejecting the idea that Ottawa knows best.

Ending Supply Management

Supply management is a government-run cartel that limits how much farmers can produce and how much consumers must pay. It’s not about food quality or farmer protection it’s about protecting a handful of well-connected producers from competition.

The result?
Sky-high prices for milk, eggs, and poultry
Barriers that keep new farmers out of the market
Trade deals blocked to protect a broken system

Michael Harris believes Albertans and all Canadians deserve choice, competition, and lower prices. Ending supply management will open the market, allow young farmers to enter the industry, and put more affordable food on your table.

It’s time to stop propping up artificial scarcity and start trusting free people to produce and trade freely.

Unleashing the Free Market

The Canadian economy isn’t struggling because of a lack of talent or resources it’s struggling because government keeps getting in the way.

Endless red tape, taxes, subsidies, bailouts, and protectionist rules have distorted our economy. The government picks winners and losers, props up failing industries, and punishes success with regulation.

That’s not a free market. That’s central planning with better branding.

Michael Harris believes in real economic freedom where businesses compete fairly, consumers choose freely, and the government stays out of the way.

✅ End corporate welfare
✅ Cut red tape and licensing barriers
✅ Open markets to new players
✅ Let workers, entrepreneurs, and families keep more of what they earn

When markets are free, prices drop, innovation thrives, and prosperity grows from the bottom up not from bureaucrats at the top.

Albertan Autonomy

Quebec has its own immigration deals, language laws, and control over key resources because it demanded them.

Why shouldn’t Alberta have the same powers?

Albertans are tired of being treated like second-class citizens in their own country. Ottawa regulates our industries, blocks our pipelines, redistributes our wealth, and expects us to stay quiet.

Michael Harris says enough is enough.

Albertan's should control their own resources, taxation, immigration, and public services just like in Quebec.

✅ Keep more of what Alberta earns
✅ Set our own economic priorities
✅ Stand up to federal overreach
✅ Protect our identity, values, and industries

✅ Support a referendum on Albertan Independence

The Right to Bear Arms

Every Canadian should have the right to defend themselves, their family, and their property. But today, law-abiding gun owners are treated like criminals while actual criminals walk free.

Michael Harris believes in bringing the right to bear arms to Canada and enshrining the principle that your home is your castle.

That means:

✅ Ending federal attacks on legal gun owners
✅ Introducing a Canadian Castle Doctrine your home, your rules
✅ Respecting the right to self-defense, without fear of prosecution
✅ Focusing on real crime, not farmers, hunters, or sport shooters

Owning a firearm is not a threat to public safety. It’s a safeguard of personal freedom and a check against tyranny.

Rural Revival

While going door to door Michael found out many rural Albertan communities still don’t have proper roads or clean drinking water. That’s not just neglect it’s an insult.

While Ottawa sends billions to foreign aid, bloated bureaucracy, and politically connected industries, rural Canadians are stuck with crumbling roads, boil water advisories, and vanishing local services.

Michael Harris believes the people who feed this country and power its economy deserve better.

Rural Alberta needs a revival.

✅ End federal overreach and let communities set their own priorities
✅ Fix broken infrastructure by keeping tax dollars local
✅ Cut red tape so small towns can grow again
✅ Ensure clean water and safe roads aren’t luxuries they’re basics

Rural Alberta built this country. It’s time government got out of the way and let rural communities build their future too.

Education

Albertans are taxed to the max, yet families still struggle to cover basics like school supplies and textbooks. Meanwhile, school board executives and politicians hand themselves bonuses with public money no questions asked.

Michael Harris believes it's time to clean up the system and put students and teachers before bureaucracy.

Here's what he stands for:

✅ Free access to rented textbooks, If we’re paying high taxes, students shouldn’t be paying out of pocket just to learn.

✅ Turn political bonuses into scholarships, Reward students, not administrators.
✅ Stand with the teachers of Alberta not bureaucrats.

✅ Real consequences for board corruption, Any school official caught misusing public funds should face strict penalties, including disbarment and criminal charges.

Education dollars should serve students not pad paycheque's in the boardroom.

Healthcare

Albertans are paying more in taxes than ever, yet can’t even get a family doctor or timely care. Waitlists grow. Hospitals are understaffed. And Ottawa’s answer? More bureaucracy.

Michael Harris says: Let’s cut the red tape and give people real options.

Here’s what Michael stands for:

✅ Local control of health care

✅ Private options alongside public care

✅ Freedom to choose your provider
✅ Freedom to make your own health decisions

✅ More care, less politics, Bureaucrats don’t save lives. Doctors and nurses do let’s fund them properly.

✅ Stand with the doctors and nurses of Alberta

Doctors and nurses save lives let’s give them the tools to do the job properly. It’s time to bring back health care that works, fast, local, and patient-focused.

Indigenous Sovereignty

For too long, Ottawa has treated Indigenous communities like stakeholders, not sovereign nations. Promises are made, funding disappears, and decisions are made without consent. That’s not reconciliation it’s control.

Michael Harris believes in a different approach: sovereignty means self-determination.

✅ True nation-to-nation relationships
Indigenous communities should fully control their land, governance, and resources not bureaucrats in Ottawa.

✅ Economic independence
Support Indigenous entrepreneurship, private property rights, and local industry.

✅ Voluntary partnerships, not federal mandates
Respect treaty rights and ensure communities have a real voice, not just paperwork and empty consultations.

✅ Transparency and accountability
Funding should support communities directly, with full control over how it’s used and where it goes.

Liberty belongs to everyone and that includes Indigenous peoples.

I'm not Running for a Paycheque

Career politicians treat Parliament like a slush fund. They cash in big paycheque's while rural communities like ours are left behind.

If elected, I will not take a government salary and will refuse any and all income from public funds and if I am forced to take a wage, 100% of what I make after taxes will be given back to the constituency.

Politicians should lead by example. That starts by refusing to take what taxpayers didn’t offer freely.
